(6238 views)
When an 82-year-old man was selling his home in Enterprise, ON (built in 1825), I went to his yard sale to view the contents up for sale. He sold me these two birdhouses for $5 total. He said the one on the

I found this item back in the early '70s while walking the shoreline on the south side of Renews harbour. No one I have asked knows what is was used for. Anyone out there have an idea?

What can you tell me about this brass casting? It's marked "White Hills Foundry Newfoundland." How old is this? Have another almost the same marked from Nova Scotia but much newer with a lot less wear. This one looks well used but not sure of its intended use.

Found this old radio in a friend's basement in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. He was kind enough to give it to me. I brought it home and put a speaker in it, and it worked. Many a fisherman's brodcast have been heard on old radios like this one around Newfoundland over the years.

These weights were found in my grandfather Maddigan's shed, and had been there for a very long time. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how old they may be and what they could have been used for. Thank you.

No Antique room would be complete without the old fashioned scrub board and wringer. The cabinet was owned by my husband's great-grandfather. The sewing machine was used by my great-great-great grandfather Abel Winsor's second wife Ellen Winsor.

1963 Evening Telegram. There are four pages on the JFK assassination and two pages on the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald shortly after. Very interesting stuff.
