I found this item back in the early '70s while walking the shoreline on the south side of Renews harbour. No one I have asked knows what is was used for. Anyone out there have an idea?

Found this old radio in a friend's basement in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. He was kind enough to give it to me. I brought it home and put a speaker in it, and it worked. Many a fisherman's brodcast have been heard on old radios like this one around Newfoundland over the years.
Does Anyone Know What These Weights Were Used For? (10 comments)
These weights were found in my grandfather Maddigan's shed, and had been there for a very long time. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how old they may be and what they could have been used for. Thank you.
No Antique room would be complete without the old fashioned scrub board and wringer. The cabinet was owned by my husband's great-grandfather. The sewing machine was used by my great-great-great grandfather Abel Winsor's second wife Ellen Winsor.
1963 Evening Telegram. There are four pages on the JFK assassination and two pages on the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald shortly after. Very interesting stuff.
