Carter is only 5 years old but he was as big a man as any of us. After an early rise and a long day on the barrens at Ugly Gulch Brook in Burnt Island Pond, we were resting on the side of a hill, looking around for the elusive moose. When I looked around, Carter was snuggled right down in the brush have a wonderful late afternoon nap. I captured this wonderful moment as he slept so peacefully for over half an hour.
