I was fortunate enough to get a subscription to your magazine last year for Christmas from my friend who came to Ontario from Newfoundland. I notice you like to share how far your magazine has travelled with its readers. Well, your magazine made it to Thailand this year. I took two of the issues with me to read on those 'down' times between sites. The picture you see here is on the River Kwai in from of the Hell Fire Pass museum at an old Japanese Army Base from world war II. I left these two issues in the hopes that someone else will also get the enjoyment out of them that I and my family have gotten. It was with Cal Bombay Ministries, which is presently at work in Sudan. Besides establishing a local farm growing maize (corn), Cam Bombay is making it possible for locals to begin and expand their own farming business. This enables them to make important purchases of food and family items and also enables them to send their children to school. While we were there we spent a lot of time preparing fields for growing and also planting.

While in Cuba in May 2013 I was fortunate to get to Santa Clara and to the square where the Che Guevara Mausoleum is. He was at Castro's side during the 1959 revolution. I had also visited Che's and Fidel's hideaway in the Sierra Maestra mountains, from where they attempted a coup in 1956. Wherever you go in Cuba, Che's photo is there.
In April 2013 I toured Cuba for two weeks. Here I get to see how they make real Cuban coffee by boiling the coffee in a pan and then putting it through the old filters. The end result was delicious.
In April 2013 I did a two week tour of Cuba and got to see how tobacco was grown and dried, and how to make and roll a cigar. Then i had this photo taken with the finished product.
