I was working as a nurse in Nain during November and December 2011. I did some wonderful walks about the community and was able to observe the freeze up of the bay in November. I loved the way the ice formed around the rocks.

Across the St. John's Harbour

I needed something creative for my website so I set the shutter speed on my camera as low as I could, zoomed in, snapped the photo and zoomed back slowly as the camera captured the shot. It was a nice surprise!
