We were in the beautiful little community of McIver's visiting my pop and my Uncle Brad. We were just finishing up our breakfast when my pop sung out and said there was a sub in the water. So of course being city folk, I ran out to the car and took some pictures. It was amazing watching this leave the bay. Just imagine what else is out there that we can't see. ... Hide full submission
This picture was captured outside of my home during the spring. A rare glimpse of true beauty. The three birds are waiting patiently with their beaks in the air for their mother to return with natures bounty. The picture to me also captured the vulnerability of the young as they wait completely dependent upon their mother.
Autumn of 2013 has been a great time in Newfoundland to capture photos of the Snowy Owl. They are being spotted all over the Island and this rare event only happens about once a decade. This photo was captured at Cape Ray Lighthouse and was just one of the six Owls I spotted there that day.
