Wreckhouse
Known as the windiest place in Newfoundland, the Wreckhouse area on the island’s southwest corner produces gale-force winds so intense, they have blown trains off their tracks. The Wreckhouse inspires awe with both its beauty and its punch. Wreckhouse wine, made from hand-picked, locally grown partridgeberries, offers the tantalizing taste of apple with the special “zip” of the wild partridgeberry. It’s a combination that’ll blow you away.
My dad put a sail on his speedboat so that he could take his grandkids for a sail in the speed boat. They loved it!! Picture was taken in Kingwell, Placentia Bay.
This photo was taken while visiting family in Harbour Main. It reminds me of the innocence and beauty of childhood. It was just a coincidence that I had my camera with me when I came across the boys playing.
This is a picture of our four-month-old Lab cross, Shanny, and our three-year-old son, Evan. Their big brother John who is nine years old was swimming in the bay and we were trying to get the dog to go out too but he was afraid. He was much happier to stay safely behind a rock with Evan.
