  St. Vincent's Shoreline

Submitted February 22, 2007

I took the enclosed photograph along the shoreline of St. Vincent's, Newfoundland on one of my visits to the island.
I have travelled to Newfoundland on several occasions and thoroughly enjoy the peace, tranquility and beauty of both the island and its people.

  Republic
Republic is a bold stand-out from other wines, uniting the sharp flavour of rhubarb with the refreshing taste of plump, juicy raspberries. The result is a crisp, fruity wine with an undercurrent of sweetness. Blended with pure iceberg water, together these three elements reflect the pink, white and green of the Newfoundland Republic flag.

Serve Republic ice-cold on its own, or in a glass with ice and sparkling water for a delicious spritzer that makes wine coolers taste lame by comparison. Or use it to make pitchers of sangria at your next party.

A little shed/museum in Durrell, NL. You quickly forget living away that people can be so friendly. This is a must see. It is well worth the time. I would say it is Newfoundland at its best. The owner is a fantastic guy who will welcome you to talk or take a few pictures. He even made me promise to come back for the iceberg season. Well worth the stop.

The sun setting on the waterfall made such a pretty picture. This was taken on the Burgeo Highway near Wooden Tilt Brook.
