My father was taken to a local hospital recently, as he had fallen to the floor in a faint. When I called my sister to inquire how Dad was, my six-year-old niece answered the phone.

Sadie said, "Poppy passed away this morning." I hesitated a moment then asked her, “You mean he ‘passed out’?”

To my relief, she replied, “Yes.”
