"yesterday my 3 year old daughter and i went to gander. i had to get a letter of conduct in the court house there. we got to the courthouse at 11:00 am they said that the letter wouldn't be ready until after 1:30 pm. so i took makenna(my daughter) to mcdonalds to pass away some time. she played in the play area for alittle while and then we went to the mall where she picked ... click to read more"yesterday my 3 year old daughter and i went to gander. i had to get a letter of conduct in the court house there. we got to the courthouse at 11:00 am they said that the letter wouldn't be ready until after 1:30 pm. so i took makenna(my daughter) to mcdonalds to pass away some time. she played in the play area for alittle while and then we went to the mall where she picked out a toy for her and her 7 year old brother. when we left the mall i still had alot of time to spare before i went back to pick up my letter so i decided to take her to the playground. i didn't tell her where we were going until i was taking her out of the car. her eyes grew wide and she got really excited. she looked at me and said mommy your dreat, your desus. stunned i stopped and asked her "" what did you just say?"" she repeated it. mommy your dreat, your desus. still not really sure of what she said i asked her "" did you just say mommy was great and that i was jesus?"" she looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes all innocent and said yes mommmy your dreat your desus. i guess after hearing in sunday school that jesus is great she thought because i took her to mcdonalds and then to the mall to pick out a toy and then to the playground all in one day she thought i was great just like jesus. the things kids will think and say.- " ... "last week my sister in law ,michelle,was in the hospital after having a beautiful baby boy, i went to her house to pick up her older son, derrick, after school.(he is 6) he came running in the house and went to the fridge and downed a glass of milk, he said to me, ""boy auntie!! i am so thirsty i could drink the milk right out of a cows gutter!!"" i just about died laughing."

"my family camps at a beautiful lake in british columbia called koocanusa lake.it is called this because it is located in the kootaneys (koo)canada- (can) and the united states (usa).anyway we have a camping spot beside some family friends, also newfoundlanders. years ago before they were married our friends adult son brought his fiance out camping. they decided to call it a night and go to bed. as they headed in the trailor laurie says, ""scott look at the flies around the outdoors light."" scott says, ""those are no see ums."" laurie replied curiosly,""but you can see them right!?! she was obviously not unaccustomed to what newfs call sand flies back home!!!- "
