Explore the beauty of Mother Nature's amusement park
Part of Newfoundland and Labrador's charm is its natural, unspoiled beauty. Our rivers, ponds and bays provide us with fun fishing expeditions, while our vast wilderness is a hiker's dream. Even our long winters provide endless hours of fun spent sliding, snowmobiling, skating, snowshoeing and much more. Have a look through these outdoor activity shots, to see how our readers enjoy down-home living, outside.
1/17/2009 snow in the city of Marystown, Newfoundland. Snow squalls through the day blinding the sight of Tim Hortons.
This picture was taken when the food fishery was on the go in 2008. Richard Elliott caught a very big fish that was almost the same size as himself.

Picnic at Ferryland
A random shot taken while enjoying a beautiful picnic with a friend this summer at the Ferryland Lighthouse. The whales kept us entertained for the duration of our picnic. I don't think the people in the photo even spoke English, or maybe I should say they definitely weren't locals.
