One of my favourite memories as a child is running up the path on Bragg's Island to go to Nan's house where blackberry molasses buns would be waiting for me. My grandmother, Mabel Oram, known to everyone as Aunt Doll, would make batch after batch. She would also make blackberry pudding. All I had to do is help pick the berries.
