Caught my first Muskie on the Rideau River, just outside of Ottawa. Although average size for its species, at 37 inches it gave me quite the fight.

A photo of my father, Ray Compton, taken by his sister while out fishing in Hampden, Newfoundland. It was taken in July 2009. The fish is a cod. I am submitting this photo on behalf of my father, and have full permission to do so. P.S. My father and I have been reading your magazine for many years, and absolutely love it.

We were fishing in Trinity Bay, NL. The kids were so excited to catch their first fish! It was a beautiful summer day. We saw whales and even a bald eagle. We caught all 15 fish, but this one was the best because it was caught by the kids!
