Out-standing Cruise Giveaway: The Final Moments
For the six contestants participating in the Out-standing Cruise Giveaway, which took place at the 2013 Downhome Expo, April 13 would be a LONG day. After eight hours of standing on platforms in a Bubba's Tubs pool, just two were left standing. Angela Beck (left) and Ceara Collins were put to the ultimate test when the contest was taken up a notch. About five minutes after being asked to stand on one foot, one of them would get a soaking. Watch the nail-biting final five minutes of the contest, and find out who was able to out-stand all the others and win a Caribbean cruise for two, courtesy of Universal Travel!

Beluga's Eye View
While kayaking near Leading Tickles, Newfoundland with my friend, this friendly beluga decided to play with our camera. The first video (see "Beluga Steals Camera" below) shows how he takes the camera. This video is from the whale's point of view after it stole the camera while it was on.

Shakey the Squirrel
Shakey is a one-year-old squirrel that was born in my wood shed, in LaManche, last summer. Over the past six months he has become a regular visitor around my house each day. It took him a short while to become comfortable around me but now he will let me scratch his back and brush him and even an occasional ride on my shoulder. Every morning he shows up looking for his favourite snacks, which include walnuts, cashews and peanuts. He spends hours just hanging around my house, relaxing, and even enjoys sitting on my bike while I work in the garage. He has become so comfortable that I introduced a hat to him and he loves to wear it while eating. Shakey has now become my pet.
