From the moment I open my eyes in the morning and smell the salt air, hear the gulls overhead screeching and I breath in deeply the fresh clean air of Newfoundland, until I close my eyes at night, I am forever grateful ... click to read moreFrom the moment I open my eyes in the morning and smell the salt air, hear the gulls overhead screeching and I breath in deeply the fresh clean air of Newfoundland, until I close my eyes at night, I am forever grateful to call this magical rock in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean home. I am still in awe that I can walk outside my home and after a brief stroll, stumble upon a magnificent cliff overlooking the powerful ocean. I find myself lucky enough to see a couple of whales frolicking about. Or see a gigantic chunk of 15,000-year-old ice gracefully floating by as the gulls sitting on it flap thier wings, almost as if they are waving at you, enticing you to come out and join them. I am lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the friendliest people in the world, who greet you with a big smile and warm "hello" each day. To be able to witness some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen and to get to see it everyday. If there is truly a heaven, I have found it here on earth and it is called Newfoundland. ... I was strolling down the beach in Harbour Grace and came across this sea urchin sitting there and thought it looked rather interesting, so I took a pic of it.
