Memories! I will always remember the joy of waking up on a cold, crisp winter's morning, discovering the majestic ice clampers in the brooks and ocean and rushing out to go ride them. We'd push off as far as we could from shoreline, then make a mad dash from clamper to clamper back to safety again. Always I will remember the sheer excitement of steering the clamper to carry us away from reality. This wonderful memory from my childhood I will cherish forever.

I was born in Vancouver, BC, working mainly in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator, truck driver and ironworker. My work experiences also include a stint in the logging industry in BC. My introduction into the world of painting came December of 2009 at the age of 36. I was convinced that there was a hidden talent within me after my mother-in-law gave me her oil paint and a stretched canvas for my birthday in December 2009. I never tried painting before and had no formal training at all. I continue to paint whenever I can, improving my skills and techinque through the self teaching method. I also gained inspiration from the works of many other artists throughout the world. Painting in oils, I strive to create the beauty around me in all aspects of nature.
