Longtime Newfie Friends
Longtime Newfie friends who live in Maine, Massachussets and New Hampshire dearly love getting together and have been doing just that for 30+ years. Most of the time it is for the Newfie Picnic in Maine, Newfoundland Day in Maine, entertainment coming from "home," Newfie Dance in Boston and to go see the Squid Jiggers. We certainly do not need a reason to get together.
Betty Puddicomb and Louie Silver meet again for the first time in 62 years as well as longtime friend Rosa Smith. This touching meeting happened at the Second Annual Newfoundland Day in Naples, Maine.
Long time Newfie friends gather at the Second Annual Newfoundland Day in Naples, Maine. A day like this helps when one is away from home. Most of us left 40+ years ago, but we're forever proud of our heritage.

Second Annual Newfoundland Day
Ribbon cutting for the Second Annual Newfoundland Day festivities was performed by Honorary Mayor Michael Hartney at the Black Bear Cafe in Naples, Maine on Saturday, June 2. Newfoundlanders came from all over New England and beyond to join in the fun time. The Honorary Mayor became an Honorary Newfoundlander later in the day.
The Ennis Sisters got a standing ovation from the Newfoundlanders in the audience in Lewiston, Maine following their song "Out from St. Leonards." They put on very entertaining shows in Maine. Come back soon.
