Pretty Petty Harbour
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Petty Harbour. Our meal at Chafe's Landing restaurant was superb. Our eight-year-old grandson loved being around the boats and the water.
Jordan Izer of Turner, Maine climbed the mountain in Twillingate and was proud of it. His Nan, Daphne (Adams) Izer formerly of Sunnyside loved the view from the top. This hike is behind the Hillside B & B.

It was a reunion for many, with some attending for the last 30+ years. There were wannabes and honorary Newfoundlanders. The Screech-in ceremony and appearance of the mummers were big hits. Many NL dishes were totally enjoyable. 82-year-old Betty Puddicomb who has not been home in years stated "your kitchen table is as close as I will ever get to 'back home,'"The Squid Jiggers entertained with Newfie and Irish tunes and we all had a great "scuff." ... Mummers made their appearance at the Annual Newfie Picnic held at the home of Daphne and Steve Izer in Lisbon, Maine in July. They danced and sang and were a wonderful sight.
