I'm with the "leave them alone" group. People who go for something like this are generally thrill seekers who can't be trusted to protect themselves or the whales. Why would any tourist operator risk the chance of having the whales find better areas where stupid people will leave them alone in their own habitat?
Donna Brinson writes:
What a joke! Yeah, sure, let them "swim" with the whales; actually I have a couple of names if you're making a list of people who 'SHOULD' be swimming with the whales!!!!!
Valerie writes:
From watching and observing those who swim whales is very dangerous and is not to be taking lightly. For esample the trainer who swam with the orca and it almost killed him. He was lucky enough to escape with his life!
Dave writes:
Leave the whales alone. Their purpose is not to make money for tourism operators. That peopel can see them is enough and it's something we should be thankful for. Stop the nonsense !!!
Marlyce Shangreaux writes:
I would love to swim with whales. I swam with stingrays once, and scuba dived with thousands of tropical fish once. I love being that close to animals, and it seemed that they liked being that close to us too.
Darren Genge writes:
Leave them alone or you will drive them away. This is not like swimming with tame Dolphins in Florida. Hope Willie takes a piece out of some tourists arse.... :-)
Andrea Parker writes:
Heck, we all learned to swim in the North Atlantic. It isn't much warmer on the Atlantic side of Florida for swimming either.
Penelope Allen writes:
If I chose to swim with whales I'd seek warmer water than the North Atlantic.
