dear downhomers,
we have been enjoying the magazine, and are looking forward to
visiting this Summer. Perhaps someone with knowledge of
expected ice conditions can help us, for we will be visiting
on our sailing boat and hope to pass thru the Strait of Belle
Isle in July.
my non-sailing friend in St.Johns tells me the ice is lighter
than usual this year. Can anyone confirm this? Is there a
website that publishes such information, or a shortwave radio
station?
