There is no such thing as a female peacock. The female of the species (correctly referred to as peafowl) is called a peahen. Anyone who ever raised peafowl would know that. Some may say that the peafowl is not a domestic bird, which is generally true, however some peafowl are kept in captivity, which makes them domestic.
