"This is a photo of a school class somewhere in Newfoundland in the early 1900s. My grandmother, Lena Mulley of Blackhead, Conception Bay, is the teacher in the back row. We know she taught at Swift Current School under the Sound Island Board in 1917-1918 and 1918-1919; then at Boswarlos under the St. George's Board in 1919-1920, and finally at the Cape Cove School (not sure if the name is correct) in Newfoundland under the Methodist Board of Education 1920-1921. This photo has been in our family for a long time, but no one knows the school where it was taken," writes the submitter.
