February 20, 2012 - Have you ever wanted to feel the rush of a zipline? Splatter a target in paintball? Milk a mechanical cow? This spring you can do it all, under one roof, with one ticket. And it's the hottest ticket in town.
The first-ever Downhome Lifestyle Expo, running April 20-22, 2012, promises to be the largest consumer trade show this province has ever seen.
"There's no show in Newfoundland and Labrador that currently provides what we're setting out to achieve," says Grant Young, president of Downhome Inc., producer of the Lifestyle Expo. "We're bringing together top-of-the-line businesses who provide products and services that promote a full, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle. We are looking to attract consumers who appreciate the valued aspects of living in this wonderful province, who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, travelling, entertaining friends, or relaxing at home or at the cabin. By organizing the expo, we're continuing to spread the message we send through all our Downhome products, that here 'life is better.'"
The Downhome Lifestyle Expo will be held at the newly renovated Mount Pearl Glacier, filling both arenas for a total showcase floor space of about 40,000 square feet and room for hundreds of exhibitors. But this will not be just row upon row of booths. There will be space for exciting demonstrations and live entertainment for the whole family. There will be prize giveaways, exclusive sale offers, games and other activities all weekend long.
Advance tickets are already on sale at www.downhomeexpo.com.
